Vendu, par la critique, comme un puissant serum anti-vieillissement ou mieux, une hypothétique cure de jouvence, EVERY LOSER ressemble plus à une tête de gondole passagère, très prochainement en soldes. James Osterberg a besoin d'argent et le fait savoir. Pour preuve, cet hommage à Miami (New Atlantis) sa ville d'adoption, où chacun sait que l'économie locale, repose un peu plus sur les fonds de pension, que sur le secret espoir d'un renouveau punkoïde. Si l'on peut regretter que le magnifique FREE puisse avoir été son chant du cygne, reste que ce nouvel album a, au moins, une qualité, celle de son remarquable artwork, signé Raymond Pettibon.

Sold, by critics, as a powerful anti-aging serum or better, a hypothetical makeover, EVERY LOSER looks more like a passing aisle head display, very soon on discount. James Osterberg needs money and lets it know. As proof, this tribute to Miami (New Atlantis) his adopted city, where everyone knows that the local economy relies a little more on age funds than on the secret hope of a punkoid revival. If we can regret that the magnificent FREE could have been his swan song, the fact remains that this new album has, at least, one quality, that of its remarkable artwork, signed Raymond Pettibon.
