Cathartique, SLEEP DEPRIVATION de The Black Dog, est bien plus qu'un simple album.
Une confession intime, plongée paroxysmique dans les méandres d'esprits tourmentés par l'insomnie. Née en 2006, à une époque où les membres du groupe enchaînaient les tournées et les nuits blanches, cette "expérience" est aussi le résultat d'une observation attentive d'un phénomène, une insondable et indispensable libération, sans possible alternative.
Perte de repères, désordre (observez la numérotation du tracklisting) l'influence de la privation de sommeil sur la création artistique est, certes, un thème récurrent dans l'histoire de la musique (et/ou humaine ...) Mais ici, les choses vont, avec certitude, beaucoup plus loin - Non-contents d'évoquer la simple insomnie, TBD l'incarnent à la perfection. Une féroce émotion subjuguante et une vulnérabilité organique parfois plus que déconcertantes.

An intimate confession, a paroxysmal dive into the meanders of minds tormented by insomnia.
Born in 2006, at a time when the band members were chaining tours and sleepless nights, this "experience" is also the result of careful observation of a phenomenon, an unfathomable and indispensable liberation, with no possible alternative.
Loss of bearings, disorder (observe the tracklist numbering), the influence of sleep deprivation on artistic creation is, admittedly, a recurring theme in the history of music (and/or humanity...), but here things go much further with certainty - Not content with merely evoking simple insomnia, TBD embodies it to perfection. A ferociously captivating emotion and an organic vulnerability that is sometimes more than disconcerting.
