Following the example of David Deamer, the biomolecular scientist and pianist, who was among the first to notice that three of the four DNA bases (A, G, and C) correspond to letters that also correspond to musical notes, Pete Swinton in turn decides to make the nucleotides sing.
A nitrogenous base, a little sugar, and three phosphate components—here we are, well and truly navigating at the nanometric scale.
NUCLEOTIDES has never been a better-titled work. It is Insanbient, a genre of almost exclusive representation; yes, it is (that too). The fact remains that Swinton's DNA is quite out of conformity with the ideal of "the best of all possible worlds" from Mister Huxley's "Brave New World," and we could scarcely be happier about it.

NUCLEOTIDES n'a jamais aussi bien été intitulé. Insanbient, genre à représentativité quasi exclusive, oui il l'est (aussi). Reste que l'ADN de Swinton est assez peu en conformité avec l'idéal du meilleur des mondes de Mister Huxley, on ne saurait d'autant moins nous en réjouir.
