Yzymyr est un musicien fort peu loquace. Discographie naissante sur le label Broken Tape Records à l'orée des années 2020, puis cette nouvelle et seconde collaboration avec Mahorka : Антон Мессер ( Anton Messer) est un garçon discret. Sa musique l'est nettement moins.
Dans le clair-obscur d'une IDM quasi luxuriante, dès l'ouverture de l'opercule, le morceau « Absolute » vous emporte aisément et installe un intérêt confortable et durable.
Sans autre forme de préambule, « Astral Disaster » entame une lente immersion qui, d'abord hésitante, finit par trouver un parfait équilibre. Ø n'aurait donc pour uniques limites que les siennes.
Crispation ? Les infrabasses de « Meditation » feront fuir les amateurs de zen attitude. L'apparence est si souvent trompeuse. Déjà s'engage un dialogue sinueux avec les proliférations modulaires de fréquences hertziennes malmenées ( Radio ).
Avec « Determination », nous atteignons le point de rupture. Oubliée la séduction larvaire, savamment rampante des premiers instants : le paysage s'est considérablement assombri // cut-up //
Le double sens de « Bezdna » laisse le choix : celui du gouffre abyssal, à moins que ce ne soit celui de la révolte paysanne de 1861. Épicentre de l'album, le morceau chemine vers la saturation totale et le crépitement apocalyptique. La page n'est pas tournée ; elle est déchirée avec fureur.
Magistral, « MachineHead », ample banger industriel, culmine à son tour, démontrant, si besoin était, d'autres « limites » beaucoup moins luxuriantes que celles entrevues aux abords.

Yzymyr interroge : « Is It a Border » ? Abstraction exploratoire. Cyclique, l'album ambitionne désormais une sophistication alanguie ( Full Moon ) l'épure panoramique ( Emptiness ) une écriture mélodique ( New Eon ) pour enfin se conclure sur une prudente aurore.
Remarquable ouvrage de synthèse, Ø n'a rigoureusement rien à voir avec la vacuité signifiée.

Yzymyr is a musician of very few words. With a nascent discography on Broken Tape Records label at the turn of the 2020s, followed by this second new collaboration with Mahorka, Антон Мессер (Anton Messer) proves to be a discreet man. His music, however, is significantly less so.
In the chiaroscuro of an almost lush IDM, right from the opening track, "Absolute" easily sweeps you away, establishing a comfortable and lasting interest.
Without any further preamble, "Astral Disaster" begins a slow immersion that, initially hesitant, ultimately finds a perfect balance. Ø would thus have no limits other than its own.
Tension? The sub-bass of "Meditation" will send fans of the zen attitude running. Appearances are so often deceptive. Already, a sinuous dialogue begins with the modular proliferation of battered radio frequencies ("Radio").
With "Determination," we reach the breaking point. Forgotten is the larval, cleverly crawling seduction of the opening moments: the landscape has considerably darkened // cut-up //
The double meaning of "Bezdna" leaves a choice: that of the abyssal gulf, or perhaps that of the peasant revolt of 1861. As the epicenter of the album, the track journeys toward total saturation and apocalyptic crackling. The page isn't just turned; it is torn with fury.
The masterful "MachineHead," an ample industrial banger, reaches its own peak, demonstrating—if proof were needed—other "limits" that are far less lush than those glimpsed at the start.
